Holne Bridge

Published: January 26, 2026

Holne Bridge is a Grade II listed structure dating back to around 1413. Over recent years, the bridge has been hit several times by vehicles, damaging the stonework and parapets. Repairs are undertaken by Devon County Council contractors often requiring short-term road closures.

The Parish Council has been working with Devon County Council to look at ways to manage traffic to prevent further damage. The bridge is very narrow, but due to its historic and listed status, altering its structure is not an option.

Proposals are being drawn up and will be shared in due course. when confirmed.
