The Council
Holne Parish Council is made up of seven councillors who work collectively to represent the interests of the parish and its wider community. Councillors are either elected or co-opted and serve on a voluntary basis, bringing a range of local knowledge and experience to their roles.
Elections are held every four years, with the next scheduled elections due in 2027, offering residents the opportunity to stand for office or vote for those who will help shape the future of the parish.
Holne Parish Council meets 6 times a year on the first Tuesday of every other month (January, March, May, July, September & November) at 7.30pm in Holne Village Hall.
The meetings are always open to the public and residents are encouraged to attend.

I have lived in the parish for 46 years, been on the Parish Council for some 25 years and Chair for 13, which all point to me being very old!
I have a small flock of sheep, a dog and a horse, so am very familiar with the parish, footpaths and moor. I am also a Commoner, so have an understanding of the problems faced by the farmers, the Commoners and the balance to keep the environmentalists and tourists happy too.
I worked at Ashburton Surgery for 20 years as a Nurse Practitioner and, prior to that, at Ashburton Hospital
Keeping the community values is really important to me and being on the Parish Council means I have been involved in many projects, the biggest being Little Bewden (Affordable Housing) and Playpark upgrades. The Parish Council supports other important Community groups such as the Village Hall and St Marys Church. I am a trustee for Holne Church Charity.
